Julie Elliott M.A. CCC-SLP graduated from Eastern Michigan University with her Master's Degree in Speech and Language Pathology  in 2011. Julie has her Bachelor's degree from Central Michigan University in Psychology.

Julie was awarded the Brehm Scholarship where she went on to publish her research in Parental Perspectives of Graduate Clinicians to better understand the parent and client relationship.  She has built her practice on the idea of relationships, communication, and teamwork. 

 

Julie has worked in the school setting for over 13 years. She has worked with Preschool, Elementary, Middle, and High School aged clients in the areas of Autism, Pragmatics, Literacy, Fluency, Voice, Articulation, Alternative and Augmented Communication (AAC) m as well as both Receptive and Expressive Language. She is committed to helping parents and students understand, support, and improve their communication skills.

 

She has helped many school aged children and their parents understand and improve their language, articulation, social language, and general communication skills. She continues to work full time within the School Based Setting. However, she is open to working both after school and weekends to support others. She decided to open her private practice to support student after parents in her community, her own child's Pediatrician, and others continued to request support and express the need in the community. 

 

Julie has been an active parent and involved her families' lives. She enjoys spending time near water in the summer. She also enjoys a good book, a cozy day, and baking with friends and family. Her love of animals includes her two dogs and two cats. She tries to find the positives and the blessings of every day.
